My name's Nicole Perry, and I am a Registered Psychologist with a private practice in Edmonton, Canada. My work is experiential, somatic, and relational.
I have a passion for helping people build shame resilience and become more self-compassionate. One of my biggest hopes for my clients is to leave our sessions feeling heard and accepted, and to know they have value outside their productivity. To this end, I enjoy helping people learn to set boundaries and recover from burnout. I also specialize in helping people heal trauma, and to do so I primarily use a mix of Somatic Experiencing and Somatic & Attachment Focused EMDR (S.A.F.E EMDR). Additionally, I work with many other concerns such as anxiety, chronic pain, and mindfulness. Please feel free to reach out to me if you're interested in working together and don't see your concern listed here to discuss whether it could still be a good fit.
My approach is collaborative and feminist at its heart. I believe in seeing problems within their context and in being a non-judgmental advocate and support. I integrate a variety of other therapy approaches, including mindfulness-based therapy, art therapy, and group therapy. LGBTQ* and polyamorous clients welcome.
Outside the therapy room, I also love: cats, reading, travel, and being an introvert. (I'm an INFJ for those Myers-Briggs fans out there :)).
